Our gates can hinge directly to a
doorframe or to a post with a flat surface for a hinge.
Have
drywall or plaster? We can provide wall planks with
pre-drilled screw holes. Just anchor these planks to a stud
behind your wall, and hinge your gate to the plank.
Have baseboards? Planks
are 3/4 inches deep, so they also allow your gate to fit
between your baseboards as long as they are 3/4 inch or less in thickness.
You pick the slat spacing - from 2 to 5 inches between
slats Delivered fully assembled. You attach the
brass hinges and hook-and-eye latch and (optional) caster..explain..
Our hinges are self-mortised for a thin profile. You simply screw them on.
We
provide only the simpliest of latches. Dozens of choices are at your home hardware
store. The hook-and-eye latch should be replaced with a safety latch of your choosing if young children
are present.
The caster is provided only to help prevent long-term wear on the hinges. It is useful if you
have large dogs or children who might swing on the gate.

Pricing
Tall pet gates retail for $215 ($225 for gates over 50" from
handrail to footrail). Wall planks are needed if
you do not have a wood doorframe or wood posts (to which you
hinge). One plank is free; two
planks add $8. Add a cat opening in it for an extra $10.
